Coldwater Creek Honey

What's a beekeeper to do when there is delicious honey to be sold but no package to sell it in?

This project involved brand development and product packaging. The only stipulation was the name was not to be changed.

The label that was adhered to the product's glass jar complimented the historic, educational institution that it was situated on and the wild, unpredictable conservation land that it neighboured.

"I knew right from the start that Josh and Megan were going to be a great fit with what I had hoped to achieve. I am so happy with the results. They are absolutely professional, talented, and fun too! As a team, their combined vision and creativity are a powerful force." – Brandi Lee MacDonald, Ph.D., Coldwater Creek Honey

Interval House 40th Gratitude Report

The concept developed for the 40th Gratitude Report for Interval House was appropriately titled, Shine. The artistic direction visually depicted what a memory would look like when we recall it. The reflections of our past, whether good or bad, are saturated with colour. In collaboration with Agents of Good this report showcased four decades of shining moments for Canada's first home for abused women and children.

In Fine Feather Yoga

Just as this business name suggests, yoga has the unique ability to make you feel as light as a feather, but can also give you a feeling of great strength to fly above all personal limitation.

In 2012 we introduced Hamilton to this brand through a simple identity that featured a scripted signature contained in a mandala-inspired frame. As the business grew more confident it became time to expand on what we had started. In 2016, with a fresh, new breath the In Fine Feather Yoga brand evolved its current look to attract new students and strengthen its brand awareness within the city. This project brought about supporting brand elements that reflect the qualities that yoga can bring to a student – balance, acceptance, strength. Keeping familiar colours and attributes to maintain consistency with what currently exists, the refreshed brand maintains a familiarity with its audience.

"As I have grown my business Josh has been essential to helping grow my brand as well. His creativity has allowed the brand to stay vibrant, present and current in all my promotional pieces. He designs with heart. Gets my vision. His work has purpose. Makes me love my brand." – Helena McKinney, Owner and Studio Director, In Fine Feather Yoga

The Starfish Canada

Since 2011, The Starfish Canada has hosted its annual countdown of environmental do-gooders titled “Top 25 Environmentalists Under 25”. The purpose of this program is to showcase the achievements of Canada’s youth and also inspire other young Canadians to take part in the betterment of the world around us. Each year, this national not-for-profit  relies on social media graphics and website advertisements to collect nominations from coast to coast. The final 25 environmentalists are published in a printed magazine and on The Starfish Canada website.

"The Starfish Canada loves working with Josh when starting new projects because of the creative and inspiring results that we are provided. Josh's quality of work reassures us that our brand is in good hands." – Kyle Empringham, Co-Founder, The Starfish Canada

Earth Day® Hamilton-Burlington

Earth Day® Hamilton-Burlington (EDHB) hosts a free, family event that encourages citizens to connect and do good for the parks and natural spaces in Hamilton and Burlington. The objective with this project was to portray a hip, earthy event that even young adults would want to join in on.

Colours were chosen from the national parent organization's brand to capture the confident, youthful spirit of "Earth Day". Custom, quirky and playful illustrations were used throughout the promotional material to appeal to both children and adults.

The FSC-Certified printed materials used to promote this tree-huggin' event allowed this small, non-profit to appear as they should – professional and resourceful. EDHB has facilitated the planting of 21,000 trees in Hamilton over the last 18 years though events such as this.

Hamilton Conservation Authority

This custom illustration was created for the Hamilton Conservation Authority to promote easy ways that homeowners can reduce their carbon-footprint. The illustration purposefully utilized three colours so that greater attention can be given to the informative tips in green. Each tip had a corresponding number that the user could find in a legend listed within the finished brochure.

"Josh talked with us, looked at our goals and objectives, and applied his expertise, passion and experience to come up with a style, look and feel to suit the project, engaging the target audience in the most effective way. His attention to detail, quality of work, and especially his focus, positive attitude and professionalism made our product that much better and that much easier." – Chris Hamilton, Information Officer, Hamilton Conservation Authority
